DEPUTY TO THE COMMANDER

THOMAS F. CARLISLE

Tommy CarlisleThomas ‘Tommy’ Carlisle began his 35 year career at Anniston Army Depot in 1986. His service includes travel throughout the United States and four deployments overseas supporting the mission of the U.S. Army. He has served as a supervisor in four divisions: Fielding, Reciprocating Drive Train, Weapons and Tracked Systems. Since 2006, he has served as a Division Chief in three divisions: Logistics Management (Fielding), Reciprocating & Tracked Systems. In 2010, he was named Deputy Director of Production serving in that capacity for eight years until January 2018 when he was selected as the Director of Production.  

His civil service education includes ISO 9000, 9001:2000, Communication Skills for Leadership,   Management Skills for Supervisors, LMP Training, Supervisors EEO Training, Continuing Education in Basic Supervision: Rockhurst University, Leadership Competencies for the Future and Human Resource & Ethics Training for Supervisors. He successfully completed the Executive Champions Lean Six Sigma course at North Carolina State University May 2014. He has a long list of awards which include Outstanding Duty Awards, Achievements for Exceptional Service, Commander’s Awards, and Special Acts or Service Awards. He is extremely proud to serve his country by ensuring that our American military equipment is maintained and combat ready at the highest standards.

In Sept. 2019, he was selected as Deputy to the Commander at Anniston Army Depot.   

He is a native and resident of Lincoln, Ala. He attended Lincoln High School and graduated in 1985. He started his civil service career in September of 1986 as a turbine engine mechanic while attending Ayers Technical Institute in Anniston, Ala.
