Colonel Craig A. Daniel

A native of Houston, Texas, Col. Craig A. Daniel successfully completed the ROTC program at Radford University, Radford, Virginia as a distinguished military graduate and was commissioned in the Quartermaster Corps as a second lieutenant on May 5, 2000.

His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Science in Strategic Studies.

Col. Daniel’s military education includes the U.S. Army Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, the Combined Logistics Captains’ Career Course, the Petroleum Officer Course, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and the U.S. Air Force Air War College.

His military assignments include duty as Gold Bar recruiter, Virginia Polytech-nic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech) and Radford University; petroleum platoon leader, 498th Corps Support Battalion, Camp Casey, Republic of Korea; company executive officer and logistics officer, 15th Signal Brigade, Fort Gordon (now Fort Eisenhower), Georgia; Battalion operations officer (S-3), Multinational Force and Observers, 1st Corps Support Command, Sinai, Egypt; G-4 Supply and Services officer, U.S. Army Japan and company commander, U.S. Army Japan and I Corps (Forward), Camp Zama, Japan; and Distribution Management Center officer-in-charge (J-4), Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq, Baghdad, Iraq.

Other military assignments include: brigade logistics officer (S-4) and battalion executive officer, 15th Signal Brigade, Fort Gordon, Georgia; chief, Petroleum and Water Branch, Eighth U.S. Army (G-4), Yongsan, Republic of Korea; plans officer, G-3 Future Operations and chief, Commander’s Initiatives Group, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, Kaiserslautern, Germany; support operations officer, 3rd Infantry Division Sustainment Brigade, Fort Stewart, Georgia and Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan; commander, Defense Logistics Agency Energy Korea, Camp Walker, Republic of Korea; and as a joint action officer and chief, Future Operations, Plans and Exercises, the Joint Staff J-4, Washington, D.C.

Among his awards and decorations include: the Bronze Star (2nd award), the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (2nd award), the Meritorious Service Medal (6th award), the Army Commendation Medal (2nd award), the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (4th award), the Joint Meritorious Unit Award (4th award), the Army Superior Unit Award, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff Identification Badge.
